We describe the case of a 68-year-old immunocompetent woman who presented with headache, vertigo, and diplopia and was found to have bilateral optic disc edema. This case highlights the important distinction between papilledema and optic disc edema and their associated diagnoses. We walk through a diagnostic approach to ensure timely evaluation and treatment.
